All good things usually come to an end at some point. And unfortunately, this will be the last regularly published print issue of TimberLine magazine. After 31 years in print, TimberLine is transitioning to a digital-first strategy and may publish an occasional print issue from time to time.
TimberLine started out with a vision to be a national forest products newspaper for the logging, sawmilling, pallet and secondary wood processing industries in the United States. TimberLine has focused on success stories and company features, environmental issues, and new products. Even to this day, it is still a very popular print magazine for its readers.
But unfortunately, the costs of printing, postage and other production costs make print delivery difficult to sustain. The TimberLine website and online Buyers’ Guide will continue to be active, and it will remain a great place to research equipment and read about previously published success stories.
TimberLine has covered a wide variety of topics through the years from the early days of cut-to-length logging to forest health and timber industry battles with preservationists to even the latest development in cross laminated timber to innovations in handling wood waste and much more. TimberLine talked with real wood people and told their stories. We want to continue to offer this opportunity to people online.
As the last regularly published print issue, we hope you enjoy the stories in this issue. And as we transition, the best way to stay informed is to sign up for our free TimberLine e-mail newsletter. You can subscribe online at https://timberlinemag.com/subscribe. We promise that we won’t send spam, just content similar to what you have enjoyed in the past on a periodic basis.
The staff of TimberLine wants to thank all of our readers as well as those amazing forest products entrepreneurs who allowed us to tell their stories through the years. We are honored to be trusted with your time and your story. If you were covered in TimberLine over the years and want to find out how you can secure digital e-prints for your website and other marketing, contact gary@timberlinemag.com.
More importantly, the TimberLine team wants to thank our valuable advertisers who made every issue, every story, every moment possible. Our advertisers are some of the best suppliers in the industry, and we are honored to have been part of your success. We look forward to continue working with you through the website and other periodic marketing opportunities.
Thanks for All the Good Memories,
– Chaille Brindley, publisher of TimberLine magazine
