Diana Olkowski, an employee of Ponsse North America in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, bagged her first deer recently.
Diana, the company’s marketing coordinator, was hunting with a crossbow with her friend and mentor, Ann Ellis, on their ‘moms night out.’ Prior to the hunt she took only one practice shot with the crossbow.
Diana killed a spike buck with one shot at a distance of 25 yards. The shot went right through the deer’s heart. Diana and Ann tracked the deer and found him 60 yards away.
It turned into a family event as Diana’s husband, Matt, brought their children to see the deer, and he was nice enough to gut and clean the deer.
