Eco Log has launched the 548F model forwarder. The new model is the second-largest in its line of forwarders, complementing models in the larger segment, the 574F and 594F.

“Since the launch of our F series in the beginning of 2020, we have had a lot of positive feedback on the machines, especially regarding their strength, reliability, and flexibility but also the new design,” said Anders Gustafson, CEO of Eco Log. The Eco Log 584F “not only possesses all these good features,” he added, “but also has been developed even further and has a loading capacity that we know our customers request.”

Eco Log, a Swedish manufacturer, produces high-efficiency cut-to-length forestry machines. With their ability to adapt to the terrain, the machines allow their operator to be in full control, regardless of ground conditions. They feature exceptional ground-clearance, reliability, serviceability and a powerful harvester-crane to provide high levels of production at a profitable total cost of ownership.

Eco Log is represented in North America by U.S.-based Scandinavian Forestry Equipment, which distributes and sells Eco Log cut-to-length harvester and forwarder forestry machines as well as other lines of forestry equipment.

The merger between Eco Log and Gremo earlier this year has enabled Eco Log to offer the broadest and most comprehensive line of forwarders on the market, according to the company. They range in loading capacity from 8.5 to 20 tons.

The new Eco Log 584F expands the range even more. Eco Log offers forwarder models suited for any terrain or task that can meet the needs of any timber harvesting company.

“Our investment in the forwarder line during 2020 is a big and important step ahead to us at Eco Log,” said Gusafson. “With 584F as our latest addition, we are confident and proud in saying that we can offer our customers a complete range of both harvesters and forwarders for productive, profitable, and long-term forestry.”

The Eco Log 584F forwarder has a load capacity of 16 tons. Like all Eco Log machines in the F series, it is powered by a Volvo Penta Stage V engine, known for their high efficiency, power, and reliability.

It features a new, updated, more powerful bogie customized for the high traction and load capacity that distinguishes the Eco Log 584F from other forwarders of the same size.

The Eco Log 584F is equipped with a new range of hydraulic pumps with a standard pump displacement of 175 cubic centimeters or optional 210-cc pump, enabling it to be used with a wider choice of cranes. Improved hydraulic oil flow makes it possible to perform simultaneous movements, increasing capacity and production.

Like all machines in the F series, the Eco Log 584F is designed to provide excellent serviceability. The grill conveniently opens to the side, making it easier to clean the radiator, while the hood is electrically operated for easier service.

Large fenders make getting in and out of the cab easy and house both a toolbox and batteries, making them easily accessible.
