Sawmill Hydraulics, which manufactures the Helle line of sawmill equipment, has
introduced a slab saw for automatically cutting slab material to length for firewood.
Standard features include a 20 hp, 26-inch circular saw with hold-down arm for cutting
pieces. The Helle slab saw has a 5 hp hydraulic pump and a 20-inch-wide, heavy-duty infeed belt. The machine also features a tubular steel frame and heavy-duty guarding.
Length selection is automatic with no trip gate.
An outfeed belt is optional and can be built to customer specifications. Other options
include different saw diameter.
