Rayco Develops Line of Horizontal Grinders

Rayco Mfg. has developed a new line of compact horizontal grinders.

The new Rayco RH1754 is available as a towable unit or self-propelled on a steel track undercarriage. It is designed to grind pallets, brush, green waste, lumber scraps and construction debris.

The towable RH1754 can be moved with a 1-ton truck. The track machine can maneuver onto remote job sites and saves time associated with moving and positioning a grinder.

Both models operate well on small job sites that are not accessible to large machines and equipment.

They feature low fuel consumption to keep operating costs low but can provide high-volume grinding, and the machines are priced affordably within reach of the small contractor.

Morbark Improves, Renames Chipper

Morbark has made a number of improvements and upgrades to its Beever M6R Brush Chipper, previously called the Clipper 6.

The new Beever M6R is equipped with a two-knife machined rotor, larger tires, a 180-degree silo swivel discharge, and direct drive with belt power transfer. The new version is safer, more efficient and more operator friendly.

The Morbark Beever M6R is the only 6-inch capacity rotary chipper on the market, according to Morbark.

The Beever M6R features reduced space between the rotor and feed wheel, minimizing space for material to lodge or turn sideways and avoiding costly starter or belt tensioner repairs. The rotor design prevents material from wrapping around the disc shaft, which saves time preparing the machine for the next job.

The 12-inch diameter, two-knife machined rotor with removable drum shaft and
1/2-inch thick dual-edged knives allow full knife coverage with even knife wear. Knives are held in place with grade 8 hex-head bolts, which reduces change-over time.

The Beever M6R is powered by a Kohler 27 hp gasoline engine with belt power transfer. It offers better side load capabilities to utilize the belt power transfer and increases available horsepower by 12.5%.

Fecon Offers New Rotary Brush Cutter

Fecon has developed a new attachment for cutting brush, the FRM70 heavy-duty rotary brush hog.

The Fecon FRM70 brush hog features a reinforced front push bar to direct trees and push them over. Cutting productivity is maximized with a bi-directional, direct drive gear motor and four 12-inch, dual-sided, rotary axe blades that provide cutting action on both sides.

The Fecon FRM70 brush hog cuts brush up to 6 inches in diameter. The straight sides and flush-to-the-ground design enable it to contain material and provide better sizing. The smooth deck service minimizes debris build-up.

The Fecon FRM70 brush hog features a hydraulic brake to stop the rotor quickly and safely.

The attachment is designed to fit skidsteer loaders running 21-45 gpm.

The Fecon FRM70 brush hog is suited to perform clearing for rights-of-way, pre-commercial thinning, restoring habitat, reducing fuel loads, maintaining trails, and other applications.
