SAWLEX Trade Show Slated June 3-4 in Ohio
The Sawmill, Woodlot & Logging Expo (SAWLEX) will be held June 3-4 in Youngstown, Ohio. The expo is sponsored by Independent Sawmill & Woodlot Management magazine.
SAWLEX is for loggers, sawyers, forestry management professionals and wood processing professionals. The expo will feature indoor and outdoor exhibits of machinery and equipment for logging, sawmills and wood processing.
SAWLEX also will feature a program of seminars produced by Independent Sawmill & Woodlot Management on topics ranging from equipment operation and maintenance to business management.
The expo also will include the Great Portable Sawmill Shoot-Out as well as workshops sponsored by exhibiting companies.

Lakes States Logging Congress Set Sept. 8-10
The Lake States Logging Congress will be held Sept. 8-10, 2005 in Marquette, Michigan. The trade show is sponsored by the Timber Producers Association of Michigan and Wisconsin.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Lake States Logging Congress, one of the most prestigious logging trade shows in the nation.
The Lake States Logging Congress alternates between Michigan and Wisconsin. Attendance ranges from 30,000-60,000 visitors, and the event draws exhibitors from the U.S. and abroad.
This year’s Lake States Logging Congress will be held in the Superior Dome, the largest wooden dome in the world.

Pennsylvania Schedules Trade Show July 17-18
The Forest Products Equipment and Technology Exposition, also known as Timber 2005, will be held June 17-18 in Rock Springs, Penn.
The trade show will offer exhibits of the latest in machinery, equipment, and technology advancements for the forest products industry, plus information about financial options and business assistance programs and more.
Timber 2005 will feature 55 acres of indoor and outdoor exhibits at the Penn State Ag Progress Days site. The trade show will include ‘in-the-woods’ demonstrations of equipment. An estimated 100-plus suppliers are expected to exhibit.
The trade show is for professionals in logging, sawmills, and value-added wood processing businesses as well as forest landowners in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
Timber 2005 is co-hosted by Penn State University and the Pennsylvania Forest Products Association and is also supported financially by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Hardwoods Development Council.
