Machine Can Process 24-Inch Wood

Bandit Industries has introduced a new whole tree chipper that is capable of processing wood that is 24 inches in diameter. The new Model 2400 Tree Bandit will produce about 100 tons of chips per hour, depending on the quality and size of the raw material, and was developed for high production logging and land-clearing applications.

The new Model 2400 Tree Bandit chipper is equipped with the most powerful feed system ever developed by Bandit for a whole tree chipper. The hydraulic five-wheel feed system consists of two horizontal and two vertical wheels with an added top wheel set on a diagonal. The extra wheel nearly doubles the feed wheel surface area that comes in contact with the wood, making it easy to feed large trees as well as short, block-like material.

A 220-degree hydraulic swivel discharge spout allows the operator to aim chips virtually in any direction and to park several chip vans around the unit at the same time. The throwing capacity of the Model 2400 Tree Bandit ensures that vans are fully loaded.

A roomy operator’s cab features joy stick controls. Combined with a powerful backhoe-style loader with continuous rotation grapple, feeding material into the chipper is an easy task.

The Model 2400 Tree Bandit is available with or without a loader. Optional equipment includes a dirt separator and a 5 1/2-inch infeed conveyor to assist in feeding short material and piled brush. The chipper comes with either a 650 Cummins or Caterpillar diesel engine.
